“Don’t be alarmed,” the angel said. “You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him. But go, tell his disciples.” (Mark 16:6-7)
I have seen the place, I have enjoyed my pilgrimage, I have been changed by the experience … but what am I to do with this? The angel told Mary and the other women, “Go and tell His disciples.” What I have gained from this pilgrimage is not meant to be for my benefit alone. What I have learned is meant to be shared. Mary Magdalene was the first evangelist. I, too, am called to be an evangelist, sharing the Good News.
