Then he returned to the disciples and said to them, “Are you still sleeping and resting? Look, the hour is near, and the Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners. Rise, let us go! Here comes my betrayer!” (Matt.26:45-46)
After crossing the Kidron Valley (by bus), we enter Jerusalem through what is now the Muslim Quarter.
Early in the morning, all the chief priests and the elders of the people came to the decision to put Jesus to death. They bound him, led him away and handed him over to Pilate, the governor. (Matt. 27:1-2)
Then the governor’s soldiers took Jesus into the Praetorium and gathered the whole company of soldiers around him. (Matt. 27:27)
The Praetorium was located in Antonia Fortress. Click on the location of the fortress on the map.
